Beach Themed Retirement Party

Retirement sure has been keepin’ my busy, lots of fun parties and eventful ‘work’.

Last week the company I work for bid a fond farewell to yet another retiree. (Two in two months, a new record I believe.) Again, I had the task of coordinating and planning the afternoon farewell party. Sure do love my job!

This was an afternoon, in-house house event. In the same conference room as last month’s yellow bash. One of my biggest challenges is transforming the same room, into a completely different look and feel for the honoree. I think I may have pulled it off.

The honoree loved the beach and was headed across country to a shore side cabin with her husband. How could I not run with a summery beach theme?!

Great job Brooke! Good ole bainbridge never looked so good. Are those left over wedding drapes I see? How did you make the scroll words in the sand? I've wanted to make that for my unity candle and sand from Aruba since I saw it on Everyday Celebrating. Help a sista out!! : )

The scrolls were super, super easy Mrs. O! :)

Just printed a half dozen or so different sayings on a fun textured paper in plain ol’ Word. Cut the each phrase into strips and curled each end (in opposite directions) around a pencil. Drop the bad boys in the vase and your good to go!

During clean up it was cute to discover that Maryann had taken the scrolls out of each of the vases.
