I LOVE My Publisher! (And all those other great book making sites.)
I was reminded how cool these boy boys are this week as I’m putting together a photo book for a retirement party. Last year I ran a similar route for a special retiree and created a ‘Year Book/Guest Book of sorts. Pages of pictures, taken through her nineteen years of service mixed in with blank pages for co-workers to sign sweet farewell wishes.
Last Mother’s Day, Melody’s super creative husband (a professional photographer) made her beautiful family blog into books (books plural). What an awesome family heirloom to treasure forever!
And as a wedding gift, for dear sweet husband, I put together the pictures of our engagement day. (I had a feeling something special was about to happen a few hours before so I turned camera happy. I didn’t want to forget a second of the happy day!)
He LOVED it. (Click here if you would like to see more from Portofino.)
It’s amazing how creative you can get with those darn books….
A book a year chronicling Baby
Pictures of ‘Dating Years’ as a wedding shower gift
A picture book of your Etsy portfolio
Of course your recent trip (Yes! Even the Memorial Day camping trip.)
A Fiftieth Wedding Anniversary guest book
A Girl/Boy Scout, Brownie, Indian Princess ‘Annual’
Hmmm..what else?!

I am loving this - Blurb.com is my favorite photo book site! I actually created a book full of me & the Hub's favorite engagement pictures, it was perfect to bring around to all of the parties & showers.
One of my best friends liked it so much, I made one for her & her Hub's engagement AND I even made a book of special wedding photos for all of the families.
I usually include special quotes, readings, etc. It's so much more special (and cheaper) than those $$$ parent's books from the photographer!
