Golly, I Sure Do Love Easter!

What a fantastic Easter Sunday! I’m still sportin’ a grin from ear to ear.
This year was sooo much fun, it was absolutely perfect (well…almost perfect, we did miss mom. Darn those snowbirds!).

I think this holiday was one of the most relaxing shindigs Jackaroo and I have thrown yet.
Yeah teamwork! (Brooke on décor and food detail and Jack on games and entertainment – it worked out perfect!)

I struggled a bit at first with our centerpiece and decor…but in the end I loved it!
I tried to stick with an ‘old school, vintage’ Easter look, soft colors, spring flowers, etc.
Our table is perfectly square so I wanted to create a center piece everyone could enjoy form their own vantage point. The result, every seat had a different ‘theme’. It worked out perfectly!

Jackaroo was a champ in the games department. Why save all the fun for the kids?! Our adult games were a complete hit! (I would highly recommend games at any party or family gathering.)

Jack kicked us off right with Easter trivia, Bible trivia, guess the Jelly Belly flavor (11 rounds) and the Granddaddy of them all – a Easter bonnet decorating contest.
Total hit! After thirty plus minutes, I finally had to call time. Everyone (including the two middle school boys in attendance) got sooo into it.

There are our dishes again, I still love them, and I get bored with things rather easily. The folded napkins look great on them and the table is very pretty. How fun to have games that everyone enjoys. It looks like a lovely day.
